Tours leave Hervey Bay and cross a marine paradise rich with dugong, dolphins and turtles, to reach Fraser Island. From late June to November the region plays host to hundreds of humpback whales on their southward bound migration back from the warm waters off northern Queensland to Antarctica, each pod often staying up to three weeks.

Though The Fraser Island Company only maintain and provide accommodation at beautiful Frasers at Cathedral Beach with our Fraser Island packages, there is a range of accommodation options on the island.
Top-class backpacker accommodation in nine beautifully converted lodges with Internet facilities, swimming pool, bar and bistro, and first-class shared kitchen is located close to major island highlights including the magnificent colour sands, the Maheno Wreck and Eli Creek and the restaurants, cafés and convenience store in Happy Valley.
National park camping with facilities, clean water, BBQ and picnic areas are located at beautiful Waddy Point, Dundaburra, Wathumba and One Tree Rocks, with inland camping facilities at Lake Boomanuin and Lake Allom and Central Station. For those who like to rough it there are scattered designated camping sites with absolute beach front. No amenities are available but the views are magic.
If you're looking for hotels, Fraser Island is a pristine island-living experience, therefore hotels are kept to a minimum to maintain the natural ambiance.
